Gemma & Ermando

We are Gemma and Ermando, the owners of . We, along with our two sons, Rupert and Jasper, will be your hosts during your stay at .

Gemma is a transplanted Brit, having moved to Italy from the UK when she was still a child. She is also an artist—many of her works adorn —an English language teacher and translator and an “assistant” wine-grower.

Ermando—a Piedmont native son—is a wine-grower and partner in the prestigious wine-producing consortium, I Produttori di Barbaresco. He began his career in wine-growing in 2001 and currently manages several acres of vineyards where he grows the famous grape variety, Nebbiolo, which he contributes to the consortium for producing their wines and his own label—, of course.

We moved to this area in 2011 because we had fallen in love with the beauty and tranquility of the landscape and the friendliness of the local people. When the occasion to acquire this property presented itself in 2018, we jumped on it. Gemma had always dreamed of opening a guest facility as she loves to meet new, interesting people from different parts of the world.

Gemma, Rupert and Jasper are bi-lingual (English-Italian). Ermando is mother-tongue Italian and—along with Gemma—has a modest fluency in French. So communication during your stay at will not be a problem.

The guest house

is an old renovated farmhouse made of local Langhe stone. The structure is quite large and over 60% of its 550+ square meters is dedicated to guest facilities, which coupled with a very spacious outdoor area provides large families or groups of friends an ideal location for long stays without feeling cramped.

Since we acquired the location in 2018 we have made many, major renovations to the structure and grounds. Gemma has furnished and decorated in a charming Old World Italian country style to create a warm, welcoming environment to make you feel relaxed and right at home.

is located in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage site—Vineyard Landscape of Piemonte: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato. The opportunities for heart-stopping sightseeing adventures, wonderful wine-tasting experiences and incredible dining await you just outside its doors.

If you are looking for a beautiful location to just unwind, you don’t even have to leave the property. Besides a large (13 meter x 6 meter) pool and a Finnish sauna, has a fully-equipped kitchen, a recreation/TV/game room, Wi-fi, poolside barbecue and many other amenities to make your stay truly enjoyable.
